O’Keeffe’s abstract composition of interlocking cubes and triangles across the surface of the canvas clearly delineates the forms of the barns, even the specific details of a broken window. Sectional views of three barns with pitched roofs, overcast sky with clouds in background, abstracted foreground of green and white.
