Photographer: Ansel Adams
Profile portrait of Helen Rockefeller, sitting on a rock outcrop, holding her knee to her chest, wearing jeans, work boots, a denim shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a watch on her wrist and a wide brimmed hat, looking to the left. This photograph is part of an album created by Ansel Adams after his 1938 trip to Yosemite with Georgia O'Keeffe, David McAlpin, and Helen and Godfrey Rockefeller. This is one of only three albums created for his travel companions documenting their trip.
